SmartGuard Installer Warranty terms & conditions

Smartguard Warranty

The SmartGuard installer warranty guarantees if you damage your SmartMat product before your finished floor surface is installed we will replace your SmartMat with an equivalent product free of charge.

The following conditions apply:

  • Your damaged SmartMat must be returned to us in the original provided packaging within 7 days of your original purchase along with your original written proof of purchase.
  • Your installation must be installed by a qualified electrical contractor in accordance with the SmartMat installation instructions, all electrical tests must be completed and recorded along with the installer details on the SmartMat commissioning record.

SmartMat is not responsible for:

  • Any consequence or cost created by a faulty installation or application not installed in accordance to manufacturers installation instructions.
  • Use of controls or components not approved by or recommended by SmartMat.
  • Faults created by interruption of or inconsistent or over voltage on electrical supply.
  • A maximum of One Free SmartMat per customer can be exchanged under the SmartGuard warranty.

SmartMat Lifetime Warranty terms & conditions

Lifetime Warranty

The SmartMat lifetime warranty ensures your smart purchase gives you a lifetime of trouble free use, your SmartMat product is guaranteed against manufacturer defects for the lifetime of the initial floor covering installed over the SmartMat underfloor heating products, the following conditions apply:

  • Your installation must be installed by a qualified electrical contractor in accordance with the SmartMat installation instructions, all electrical tests must be completed and recorded along with the installer details on the SmartMat commissioning record.
  • Your commissioning record must be fully completed and fixed to, or adjacent to, the distribution board of the heating system.
  • Your original written proof of purchase must be retained with your commissioning record.
  • In the case of a tiled installation you must retain a reasonable amount of floor tiles to replace if required upon repair.
  • Your SmartMat product must be connected to and protected by an RCD Residual Current Device at all times.
  • You are the original purchaser of the SmartMat product, SmartMat warranty is not transferable.

The Warranty Benefit

The SmartMat warranty ensures you benefit from:

  • Our engineer will trace repair or replace your SmartMat floor heating product (Replacement at our discretion)
  • Cover the cost of repair or replacement of your heater.

SmartMat is not responsible for:

  • Any consequence or cost created by a faulty installation or application not installed in accordance to manufacturers installation instructions.
  • Use of controls or components not approved by or recommended by SmartMat.
  • Faults created by interruption of or inconsistent or over voltage on electrical supply.
  • Aesthetic changes to any component that does not affect performance, third party damage or consequences of.
